Registration opens for popular Summer Film camp

(Birmingham, Al) – Registration opens on June 26, 2021 for the On The Set Summer Film Camp. The highly anticipated, one week camp is hosted by Peep This Actors-Directors Guild, a 501 (C)3 nonprofit organization. On The Set introduces the world of filmmaking to youth between the ages of 10-18. The campers are trained in the following categories: directing, producing, lighting, sound, cinematography and acting. The young people go on location to produce, direct, shoot and act in a short film.

“We enjoy watching the young people evolve from the beginning of the camp to seeing their faces light up when they see the final production,” said founder and creator David Tucker.

The campers are observed by professional instructors during the entire process. Each participant has the chance to win awards for “Best Director”, “Best Producer”, “Best Actor/Actress” and “Best Cinematographer” at the November premiere and awards show.

Spots are filling up fast. Registration is scheduled for June 26, 2021 from 9am-1pm at The Westin Hotel (2221 Richard Arrington Jr Blvd. Birmingham, Al 35203)

Camp will be held July 7-16, 2021 8am-5pm. Auditions and interviews will last no longer than 15 minutes. Actors please be prepared to present a 2-3 minute monologue.
